Each maker kit contains the materials required to complete the entire project. The product page for each listing will outline exactly what comes in the box and whether you will need anything from home. Some kits use screws and will include an easy-grip tool for those screws, while nail-based kits may require a household hammer and close adult supervision.

SparkJump maker kits are designed for builders ages 6 and up:

Every child develops at their own pace, so we recommend selecting a kit that fits your child’s confidence and skill level. Adult supervision is recommended for all projects.

Many of our customers build solo as a mindful, hands-on project, and just as many treat it as a shared parent-child activity. Either way, the kit doesn't change.

Children practice fine motor dexterity, tool control, hand-eye coordination, sequential problem-solving, and creative self-expression through custom design and painting.

None at all. Every kit comes with full-colour, step-by-step instructions, and several kits also link to video tutorials if your family prefers to watch a step before doing it. The focus is on sharing an activity, building confidence, and enjoying the process together.

Our starter kits (Candy Dispenser, Jr. Birdhouse) typically take about an hour. The more detailed kits (Premium, Modern, and Cottage Birdhouse, Bug Hotel) run a few hours, and the Cottage Birdhouse is best treated as a full weekend project.

Many of the SparkJump Maker Kits are built around screws include their own kid-sized, easy-grip tools rather than sharp adult hardware. For nail-based kits, adult supervision is recommended throughout, and our most detail-heavy build (Cottage Birdhouse) is scoped to ages 8+ with an adult for that reason.

Orders are processed within 1–3 business days. At SparkJump our aim is to fill each order the same day it is received. Orders placed after 12pm AEST may be processed the next business day. From there, standard shipping takes 3–8 business days, express 1–3 business days.

If you simply change your mind, we accept returns within 30 days of delivery provided the kit is unused, unassembled, in its original packaging, with all parts and instructions included and proof of purchase. Once a kit has been built, painted, or customised, it can't be returned for change of mind, but every product remains covered by your rights under Australian Consumer Law: if a kit has a major fault, is unsafe, or isn't as described, you're entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement regardless of the 30-day window.
